West Cheshire Pedestrian survey |
The results of the West Cheshire Pedestrian survey have been published and are available at http://www.livingstreetswirralchester.org.uk/surveys.htm. We have decided to do a follow up survey – West Cheshire Actions Survey – which can be located via the following link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7XQBDZ9. The first survey concentrated on people’s concerns regarding their safety as a pedestrian. This new survey is about the actions that your residents would like to see happen when they are pedestrians whether they are on footways, pavements or going along the side of the road where there is no pavement. I would be grateful if you would inform residents again in your parish of this survey. Next month there is Walk to School Week (17 – 21 May 2010) and in June there is Green Transport Week (12 – 19 June 2010). If there is still a primary school in your parish (which I hope there is) do you think that staff at the school and the parents of the pupils would be interested in completing the survey. The safety of children, parents with young children, schoolchildren, the elderly, people with disabilities, people self propelling their wheelchairs or using electric ones and mobility scooters as well as fit and healthy walkers and runners is paramount. The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. The survey closes on 30 June 2010. I hope to publish the results of this survey before October 2010.
