Highlights of the year |

Environmental Issues: Your Council continues to put effort and funding into improving the environment of the village. It funds a weekly litter collection on the playing field and has begun an anti-litter campaign by inviting the school to run a poster competition. It is also continuing with its Best Kept Garden Competition. Once again it has entered the village into the Community Pride Competition. In 2004 we won the Most Improved Village in our group, but last year we didn’t even make the top six! Hopefully we will do better this year but it means we all have to make and keep our surroundings in good upkeep. So trim those hedges, plant the best ever annuals, don’t drop litter and let’s see how well we can do this summer. |
