Polite Request: Doggie bags are a great idea but they need to be disposed of in the correct places—bins. At present there seems to be a proliferation of full bags adorning trees, hedges and ditches. Plastic bags, as we all know, do not degrade so they will remain in situ for a considerable length of time. At present there are bins on the playing field and in the near future we expect two extra bins one situated at the far end of Main Road and the other at the junction of Niddries Lane and the lane down to the tunnels. The bin which was located in the Barlow Road playing area is to be re-sited outside the play area. |
